![]() Today is the day to make prayer a priority in your life if you have not been doing so. We are reminded to continue in prayer for the Lord God is a “FAITHFUL PROTECTOR” and deliverer of His people! God’s promise is that He will always be with us so with that assurance, we can pray with confidence in knowing that God not only hears our prayers, but He is able to answer our prayers. Yes, we have God support and undivided attention in all that we may face in life. ![]() When we trust God’s faithfulness it give us peace and stability of the mind because we know that He is true to His word and that He will come through on our behalf. God is true to His promises! God is not a man, that he should lie neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? God’s faithfulness to us should always inspire us to pray first in ALL things and for ALL things. Yes, He is the one who WILL strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. Why should we pray some may ask? The Apostle Paul reminds us that we do it because God is a “FAITHFUL” Protector. Ephesians 6 18-With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition for all God’s people. We are also reminded to pray ye for one another. Let’s listen to Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. We are reminded to always pray and not worry. (4) pray for their safety, protection and deliverance from evil and wicked men as they do the Lord’s work for not everyone believe. ![]() What should we pray for? What type of prayer did Paul request and what for? As we will see with Apostle Paul prayer request in this text, our prayers must be “SPECIFIC”! Paul wanted prayers of petitions sent to God on behalf of these things (1) safety and security for him and his colaborers of the Gospel message (2) prayer for the advancement of the Gospel message, that it would not only be received in the hearts of those that hear it, but also that it spread quickly (3)pray that the Gospel message be honored among the hearers as it was with those at the church of Thessalonica. Prayer is one of our primary lines of connection and communication to God’s divine assistance and His power, YET, we so easily fail to use it to connect with God, even at some of our most desperate moments. Why is it that prayer is often a last resort for many people, including those of the household of faith? Oh how easy it seems to be in forgetting our need for God and our need to prayer to God. This text is a request for prayer of intercession from the Apostle Paul to the church at Thessalonica on behalf of him and his colaborers in the Gospel. You have a hope that they do not have.2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. I can't really wrap my mind around the permanence if eternity, but the promise still remains. This truth is the same for you too! Knowing that you will see your friends and family again one day should help you to grieve the loss of their physical bodies differently than someone who won't. Therefore encourage one another with these words." After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. He passed about 2 years before I got married and, oh, how I wish he was present for that precious moment in my life.ġ Thessalonians 4:13-18 is a sweet reminder that I will see my grandpa again! He is with Christ, and I will be too, and I’ll be able to enjoy his company for all eternity. He was so full of wisdom and held a character that I wanted in my own life. ![]() My grandfather had become a very close friend of mine. When my grandfather passed away, I was deeply saddened. This promise is one that I hold very close to my heart.
